Hello everyone!

I’m proud and excited to announce the 1st Annual ‘Curt Hooper “Bogies & Stogies” Memorial Golf Tournament’, to be held Saturday, April 23, 2011.

The tournament will be held at:

Country Creek Golf Course
20800 E 215th Street
Pleasant Hill, MO 64080
(816) 380-4920
http://www.countrycreekgolf.com/

Tee off time will be 8:00 am.

This is in honor of Curt Hooper, who passed away on September 12, 2009. Curt loved the game of golf and all that came with it. Few things were as enjoyable to Curt as a round of golf with friends, cigars, a few cocktails and a great time. So, we have put together this tournament in his honor, in hopes that it will grow in to an annual event.

The cost for the tournament will be $60 per person, and will include the golf, a cart, T-shirt, lunch after the round, prizes, a trophy, and a great time had by all.

RSVP’s can be made in two ways:

1.        My eMail address (tbiggers@ILSmart.com)
2.        Facebook Event Invitation

When sending in your RSVP, I will need the following information:

Name
Phone Number
Email Address
Shirt Size
Who is In Your Group (or if you are a single)

You can RSVP your complete foursome, threesome or twosome if you have one, or RSVP as a single and we will get you assigned to a foursome. There will be a maximum of 144 people allowed for this tournament. If we reach that amount, then we will begin a waiting list in case there are cancellations. Even if you don’t play golf or can’t get in, there will always be other ways to help and/or be involved as this thing progresses, so don’t be shy. We will have all levels of golfers I’m sure, so it should be fun. This invitation is being sent to those that knew Curt, grew up with Curt, worked with Curt or any of the above relating to Carolyn, Garrett and Olivia. If you know of someone that may not have received this, please pass it along.

Registration for the tournament will be at 7:00 am the morning of the tournament. The tournament will start at 8:00 am sharp, so make sure you are there early enough to register and get yourself ready. It will be a shotgun start, best ball. We will have a longest drive, and two closest to the pin contests as well.

After the tournament, there will be a buffet lunch with brats and philly’s. Should prove to be a great time.

Payment can be made either through the Hickman 1982 Reunion Web Site (PayPal Link) (http://www.hickmanmills1982.myevent.com/) or by check. If using the Paypal link on the Hickman Website, make sure you enter a message as to why you are paying. If paying by check, they can be sent to:

Tripp Biggers
1719 E. Prescott Drive
Chandler, AZ 85249

It’s my hope that we get a strong turnout for this and that we can make this an annual thing.  Please let me know if you have any questions. More to follow as this progresses.

Thanks…Tripp Biggers

Welcome back, Hickman Class of '82 Alumni!  It has been over 500 days since our 25 year reunion and just under 1,100 days left to an estimated 30 year reunion.  Wow...30 years.  Ouchy.  Anyway, there are a couple of things I would like to pass along.

First, if anyone feels the need to donate any funds to keep this Web Site operating, that would be great.  A few of you already have, last year, and we appreciate it.  Since then, the site has been funded by a private contributor to keep it going.  Which means I'm out of money.  The site costs about $17/mo. to keep active.  Anything you can contribute would be appreciated.  Or, we can close it down and try again for the 30th.  If you'd like to make an electronic donation, you can do so via Paypal with either the link at the top of the page or the one below.

Second...there has been alot of recent activity on the Facebook website.  It has been a great resource of hooking back up with old friends and classmates.  It's a little more "grown up" than MySpace.  You can join the Hickman Mills Group and see who else is out there.  If you're already out there, then let anyone you know from the Class of '82 (or any other class for that matter) so they can join in.  The web site is http://www.facebook.com/

Finally...I recieved an email from a company called Cornwell Casting.  They are a casting company for TV shows.  They are working with TV Land on a new show called "First Love Second Chance".  Here is the message I received:

Hi my name is Tony Miros and I am working with TVLand on a new program called "First Love Second Chance". We are reaching out to High School and University alumni associations to reach people who may be interested in appearing on the show. My hope is with either your help, or the help of your organization and others we can spread the word about this opportunity. Here is the blurb on the show we are casting...

"Ever wondered what happened to the one that got away? To your high school sweetheart or college love? That's the question at the heart of this new TV Land program which reunites former couples and gives them a glimpse of what life would have been like if they'd stayed together. In each one-hour episode, a former girlfriend and boyfriend who are currently single will be reunited for an evening to see whether they can stand the idea of living with each other for two weeks -one week in her home with her life, the second in his. Will the passage of time and their differing life experiences have changed them beyond recognition? Will they be tempted once again by each other, or decide they can't get far enough away? First Love, Second Chance reveals whether true first love conquers all for the couples -or whether they discover that they had a lucky escape first time around!

If you are single, mid 30's to mid to late 40's and looking to reconnect with a past love, we want to hear from you!

If you are interested or want to tell us your story of lost love, please visit us at www.cornwellcasting.com or send your story to firstlovecasting@me.com. "

Any avenues that you cold send this down or any contacts that may be of help would be very much appreciated. Additionally, If you have any questions feel free to email us at firstlovecasting@me.com

Warmest regards -

Tony Miros

Cornwell Casting

I'm not sure if any of you would like to participate in something like that, but if you do...please make sure that you let me know so that we can tell everyone to watch in case your story gets made and shown on TV.  Oh yeah...if your last name is Herrera or Purvis...you need not apply.  You're already covered.

That's about it for now.  Please pass along to everyone you know from Hickman that this Site is still up and running (for now) and the information about Facebook.  Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions (or tell Bobbi, Curt, Loras...whomever).  Hope your 2008 Holiday season was awesome and your 2009 is off to a great start.  See ya soon...

Tripp
